Pool + is a community swimming pool situated in Park St-Patric, which is adjacent to a linear running and biking track next to La Chine Canal. Its design serves the dual purpose of incorporating the park’s pre-existing path into the pool complex and slowing down traffic. The two curves that make up the main form not only allow visitors to access the building through the middle entrance, but also provide a detour off of the passenger’s regular transit path. The curved facades consist of a double-glazing curtain wall, allowing visitors to enjoy an outside-in experience. The building is split on the ground floor, with a cafe and a pool area on each side. The community space on the second floor connects the two sides with a bleacher that overlooks the pool area.
