Think Small

500 TERRY FRANCOIS STREET SAN FRANCISCO

MON-FRI 7AM-10PM | SATURDAY: 8AM-10PM

Think Small is a project designed for short term accommodation for temporary research on Mont. Royal in Montreal. With the limitation of 25 square meters, comfort, efficiency, and landscape fitting became the primary goals of the design. The cabin has three main space divisions, a bathroom, an elevated bedroom, and a dining-living room. The exterior resembles a solid box with a few sliced out components that create the void of the entrance and the windows. The intended material for the exterior is burnt cedar cladding in vertical strips to fit in with the natural vertical pattern created by the tree trunks and branches in the forest.
